The Green Festival comes to Washington again

Washington DC Green Festival – October 10/11, 2009

Green Festival, the nation’s largest green consumer living event will make its sixth trip to America’s capital this year on October 10 & 11, 2009 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center, as the new administration prepares to set up shop.

The Washington DC Green Festival is a joint project of Global Exchange and Green America. It is a festival for the people, for business and for the environment and a chance to learn how neighbors, community nonprofits and city departments are working together to make Washington DC a healthier place to live.

The Washington DC Green Festival is celebrating what is working in our communities – across the District, Maryland and Virginia – for people, for business and for the environment.

2009 is, as said, the sixth year that will the the Green Festival come to Washington, DC and if 2008 is anything to go by then it should be – once again a great event.

While I would have loved to be able, as a journalist, to attend the event this year other engagement, alas, keep me away from it, yet again, in addition to the fact that the event is in the USA and I am not.

However, anyone who is attending the Washington DC Green Festival might also like to take advantage of the stay in the US capital to have a vacation time in that city at the same time and Washington DC Vacation Rentals are certainly available, of that we can be sure and more than likely come in at a better rate that some lodgings that may be recommended by the certain places.
